School-Age Summer Program (July/August)
Parents are required to give post-dated cheques. Any NSF cheques must be paid in full immediately with the amount to include any service charge assessed by the bank. Fees are due at the beginning of the month and a $10.00 penalty is charged for each week the payment is late.
We are also excited to announce that we are now accepting Electronic Bank Transfers to pay your monthly fees.
Ascot Avenue Community Daycare has a Purchase of Service Agreement with Toronto Children’s Services, allowing support for families who need care subsidized. Toronto Children’s Services allows 35 days of absence per year. You can only use 20 consecutive days, then an appeal is requested by the parent at the subsidy office. You are responsible for paying your regular fees during this period.
The daycare closes at 6:00 p.m. At 6:01 p.m. you will be charged a penalty of $20.00. After the first 10 minutes, at 6:10,an additional cost of $1.00 per minute applies. The funds are paid directly to the staff on duty. If you cannot pay the late fee immediately, you will be charged at a later date by the Director. Each time a parent is late, the staff is required to fill out a late pick up form including a parent signature that confirms the date and time of late fee. If you know you are going to be late, please call ahead to advise the staff who will then prepare your child for the experience of being the last and only child in the daycare. This call does not exempt you from the late fee. If your child(ren) are still at the daycare by 7:00pm, and we have not been able to contact you or the emergency contacts, we must assume that there is a problem. We will then contact the Director, or if staff are unable to locate him/her, call the Supervisor and inform him/her of the situation. We will then be informed to call the Toronto Police (Division 12 (416)808–1350), the applicable Children’s Aid Society, as well as the President of the Board of Director’s. This process will be documented and filed.
